Dietrich College Academic Advising And Other Resources For UndergraduatesAcademic Advising
A Network of Resources, Opportunities, and Support Services Academic advisors partner with a network of several other resources on campus that support undergraduates in ways that address their needs, whether they be academic, medical, emotional, social, etc.; and also that enhance their undergraduate experience, such as calling student attention to research, internship, scholarship, fellowship, professional and other opportunities that map well onto individual student’s talents and interests, and then helping students effectively pursue them. Our relatively small size and the extent to which this allows us to know our undergraduates well helps assure that our students optimize the benefits to be had from this resource network. Other Undergraduate Options and Opportunities Dietrich College undergraduates benefit from several other college programs and initiatives that promote and facilitate undergraduate research, study abroad and summer internships. These include:
Joseph Devine, Associate Dean for Undergraduate Studies Brian Junker, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs Gloria Hill, Assistant Dean and director, Dietrich College Academic Advisory Center The Dietrich College Office of Undergraduate Studies (OUS) a branch of the college’s dean’s office. OUS serves the needs of DC undergraduate students through a variety of roles, programs and initiatives that are college-wide, and not department- or program-specific.
